My dogs!!!

Here are my wonderful dogs Kona and Kiarra,, both rescue dogs ! Kona is 4 years old,,, we got her the local humane society.. she is really like a human,, an amazing animal that just wants affection,, and then Kiarra I got at another rescue group that comes to a animal food store every weekend with an assortment of dogs that they rescue from shelters and foster....she is about 2 now,, we got here at 7 months,, she dug up our yard many times, chewed up all kinds of stuff,, but never peed or pooped in the house... she is now fully trained , won't even try to get on our couch and she is an awesome little dog,, she sleeps underneath the covers in our beds,, she is a rat terrier as well and has killed one that she found in our yard and brought in to show us,, that was a lovely sight!!!! Anyhow I think Kona thinks she is is Kiarra's mother,,,always trying to protect her,,,,,they really get along great and keep each other company....!!!

Beautiful Glittery Vintage Starfish!!!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!! Here are a few pictures of these beautiful starfish that my good friend Catherine made for me. She saw these in a store and copied them since she could not afford to pay $400 for 2 of them. She used a special glitter that almost soaked into the starfish , so she had to use layers and layers of it,, and then attached a beautiful vintage brooch to the center...I love them, and she made me 3 of them that I have on my tree.....I covet them!!! (as she would say).......Also there is a pic of my new collection of Apothecary jars that I am starting to find here and there at discount stores,,, this one actually came filled with silver christmas decorations and I just kep them in there.....after Christmas I will take them out and fill the jar with starfish from my tree and put it in my bathroom....Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!!

Spindle Starfish Tree

Here is our amazing Christmas Tree for 2008,, my daughter who is 12 decided she really wanted to do a tree with just starfish and green accents on it,,, I thought it was a great idea as well,,, so I ordered a bunch of these spindle starfish in bulk from a wholesale company, and then we shopped for green accent bulbs,,,,we had a party last night and everyone said it looked like a designer tree....i think it turned out pretty cute...!!!!

My Grandparents Wedding!

This is a picture of my Grandmother Miriam and Grandfather Ted getting married at the chapel at Annapolis I believe. What a regal wedding! My grandfather attended Annapolis in Maryland,,,so of course he married there. I was lucky enough to visit Annapolis in Maryland this past march, but unfortunately the chapel was closed to visitors due to an upcoming wedding that afternoon!! Bummer!!
Anyhow love this picture!!

My Grandmother Miriam!!!

I just had to post this picture of my late Grandmother Miriam, my dad's mother.. Isn't this a great picture of her? I am figuring she is around 25 or so,,,I scanned all our old family photos and I love this one. She was an amazing grandmother and I only have good memories of her and fun things we did together. She passed away when I was 26 years old! Miss you Grandmother!!!!

Items that I loved from the SHS Show!!!

These are some of the items that I admired when I was at the Sacred Heart Show,,,,If I had a huge island in my kitchen or somewhere to put it, I would have bought that green vase..is it not amazing....the vintage style , look, and color....ooohh , la , la....I covet that vase,, as Catherine would say!!!

Christmas Show at Sacred Heart!

This past week I did an amazing and fun show selling my wares at the Sacred Heart School in Atherton. I was there for 3 full days, and boy was I worn out, but I sold a lot of my belt buckles and met a lot of great people. Here is a picture of one of my mirrors I make by embellishing them with brooches I find,,,,I love this one as it swivels and is awesome for a dresser or in a bathroom,, and I almost sold it,,, it'll make someone a beautiful Christmas Gift. Also is a picture I took of a cute little decorated tree that was one display ,, the items they had were beautiful and it was so fun to look at them all day long when I was there....on to my next show this Thursday night at the Lonado Nail Spa....see you there!!!

Ahhhh,,,,Paris !!!

This is another one of my favorite buckles that I have made... it now graces the waist of my friend Holly,,, and she is lucky to not only wear the Eiffel Tower, but she can say she has been there, unlike myself...I must go someday,, I have a PARIS fetish!! Anytime I see anything with that word or an eiffel tower I go crazy! Maybe I lived there in a past life or something ,,,who knows!!!
Well, since it is freezing cold here today, which is rare, I thought I would post a pic of my garden from the summer when my sunflowers were a bloomin' and all was well.....I also feel bad that I have not posted about my wonderful Thanksgivin' day!! I spent the festivities with my family and we went to my wonderful friend's home, Catherine and her husband, the famed plastic surgeon (who does many boob jobs) Michael Killion! Anyhow, what I like about Catherine is she doesn't waste a moment,,,we arrived at 2pm, and by the time it was 2:02 pm I was already 1/2 way thru my 1st pomegranate martini,,,,5 martinis later,, i was having a good nite. Seriously though the food was delectable, the friends were awesome and the fun was to be had,,,, we had a wonderful evening, and I thank you Catherine for having us over..!!!

Pichetti Winery & the Peacocks!!!

We went up to the Pichetti Winery near the Stevens Creek Dam a few weekends ago,,,they have picnic tables , and peacocks running around. For some reason I am fascinated by these birds...we tried hunting the grounds for some feathers but couldn't find any. I was thinking of plucking one of the birds booty, but thought it may end up pecking me to death...you know they have big claws on their feet like an ostrich ..they must be related and they can fly..so I think I would have lost that battle...kidding...I would never hurt an animal...Anyhow some fun pics that I took of my peacock friend and the old barn tasting room!
